In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, all in-person SAPAS activities and events are cancelled until further notice.  However, we are offering some activities online.  A few of these have a class limit, but some do not.  Zoom in with us!

Yale University's free course The Science of Well-Being
In this course you will engage in a series of challenges designed to increase your own happiness and build more productive habits. As preparation for these tasks, Professor Laurie Santos reveals misconceptions about happiness, annoying features of the mind that lead us to think the way we do, and the research that can help us change. You will ultimately be prepared to successfully incorporate a specific wellness activity into your life.

Exercise Classes

We will host Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance Part I class on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Zoom, starting on Tuesday, May 4 from 10-11 am!  The class has space available.  Please call the SAPAS office at 651-642-9052 or send an e-mail to office@sapaseniors.org to find out more.

Our Chair Yoga class is on a break right now.  Please call the office if you are interested in finding out more about our chair yoga activities.

 

Due to the pandemic ALL SAPAS EXERCISE AND CHAIR YOGA CLASSES AT LAUDERDALE CITY HALL, CENTENNIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AND THE ST. ANTHONY PARK LIBRARY HAVE BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Poetry Classes

The February/March poetry class has come to completion.  Another session has not been scheduled yet.  Contact the St. Anthony Park Area Seniors office at 651-642-9052 if you are interested in future sessions.


Older Adult Resource Series (OARS)

Next OARS presentation, "Technology for Older Adults and Those They Care For" will be on:

Wednesday, July 21 from 1:30-3 pm.
Virtual live presentation by experts and vendors of products and services to facilitate healthy and safer living.  From medication administration to communication to tools that enable a remote family member to be notified if/when a loved one needs assistance will be discussed with time for Q & A.  Plus, those registered will receive a list of contact info for the presenters and a host of other technology resources.
